The short version
We collect what we need to send you a saree and to answer you when you write. We do not sell your information to anybody, and we never see your card details.

What we collect
When you order
- Your name, delivery address, phone number and email
- What you ordered, and the amount
- A payment reference from Razorpay — never the card itself
When you message us
- Your WhatsApp number or email address, and whatever you send us — including photographs and opening videos sent with a claim
When you use the site
Nothing. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking of any kind, and we do not build a profile of what you look at.
Two things happen anyway, and they are worth naming rather than leaving to a footnote. The site sets the cookies it needs to work — keeping a session open and protecting forms from misuse. And our typefaces are served by Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google when a page loads, which means Google sees the request. Neither of those is used by us to follow you around.
Why we hold it
- To pack, ship and track your order
- To answer your messages and settle claims
- To keep the tax and accounting records the law requires
- To prevent fraud
We do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to.
Payment details
Payment is handled entirely by Razorpay, a payment gateway regulated in India. We receive a confirmation and a reference number, and nothing more.
How long we keep it
- Order records — for as long as tax law requires, currently 8 years
- Messages and claim videos — until you ask us to delete them
- Marketing consent — until you withdraw it
Ask us to delete something and we will do it within 30 days. The one exception is the records above that we are required by law to keep — invoices, mainly — which stay until that period runs out.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop sending you marketing. Write to support@smartchoiceindia.com.
We reply within 30 days, and anything you have asked us to delete is deleted within the same 30 days.
Some information we cannot delete on request — invoices, for instance, which we are required to keep for as long as tax law says.
Keeping it safe
The site runs over HTTPS. Access to order records is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please order through a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page is when it last changed. Material changes will be notified how — email? a notice on the site?.
